to start off with I had removed the transmission from my truck to replace the clutch, and am extremely mechanically inclined, however due to some back problems and lack of tools i was not able to get the transmission back in the truck by myself. So I had my truck towed to this location on a Saturday morning and was informed that I would get a call when it arrived. I never received the call. When i did call to make sure it had arrived I was told it had and they were pulling it in as we speak that it would be no later than Monday afternoon that I would have my truck back. I then received a call Monday afternoon that I needed some additional parts and that it would be roughly $300.00 for the parts. Being well versed in mechanics i knew this was drastically higher than what it should be. After very little research I found that the parts were only about $140.00 total. I informed the receptionist of this and she told me " That's just what it tells me I have to charge you". I found this absurd so I purchased the parts myself, took time off work Tuesday to take them up to the shop and dropped them off. At this point I was told the truck would be done by that afternoon and they would call me. By 4:30pm that afternoon I had not heard from anyone so I contacted the office and was told that they were just running a little behind and needed to install a clutch line ( roughly 30 mins of work worst case). i drove up to the office at 5:45pm expecting my truck to be done, and as i pulled in i see my truck on the lift and many of the parts still on the ground. I went in and spoke with the manager who informed me that They would stay late to finish my truck and would call me. Shortly after I watched the manager leave and never received a call. As of this morning Wednesday at 9:00am I still have not heard from them. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. They will overcharge you and play games

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP!

Overcharged, my upholstery was nasty with oil and grease; and they left a dent in my vehicle. Very very unprofessional.

Took my 2007 Nissan Titan to AMMCO in Gastonia. Mark Burk manager found internal trans-oil cooler leaked antifreeze into transmission and fried it. Mark quoted 7000$ for re-manufactured trans, radiator and external trans-oil cooler. Nissan Gastonia quoted 5100$ 12000 mi warranty. AMMCO gave 36 month unlimited miles. Went with AMMCO with upgrade all aluminum radiator for additional 300 dollars. When I picked up truck New manager Mike Allen did not install agreed on radiator and would only warranty one which was sent from Engine Transmission Exchange, their daughter company Global Powertrain Systems didn't have one. I was given a choice of using ETE's or no warranty. Needed truck so I agreed. My truck had oil stains on both seats and blew a radiator hose on way home due to hose clamp not being put on hose, and was missing trans dipstick retaining nut. Transmission redlined RPMs and found no external oil cooler installed. Mike ordered and installed external trans-oil cooler. Transmission overheated on vacation. Mike replaced transmission and 2 weeks later truck started making popping noises in forward, reverse and braking. Went to AMMCO and still another new manager and crew said front differential needed to be rebuilt at 900 to 1100 $. Transmission lines were also leaking which I had to by hydraulic lines for because they didn't have money to purchase because Auto Zone didn't stock. That is the business they have an account with. Tech went to NAPA to buy. Took truck to Miller Transmission and they found the cross member mounting bolts hand tight and torqued them and popping stopped. Also found trans-lines going into radiator then the external trans-oil cooler. This configuration would cause the possibility of antifreeze being able to leak into the transmission again. Miller Transmission said the proper sized external trans-cooler would eliminate the problem. When I contacted Mike Allen at Lexington store now he said he was told by ETE to do this and he wasn't going to change a thing, I wanted the owner's name and number and he refused to give it to me. Miller said it would have cost me 3200 dollars at their store. They didn't even charge me to tighten the cross member. Tony Hardin very displeased

When the truck finally did come out of the shop, my drivers side tow mirror was broke. I understand accidents happen, but wait. They ordered a new mirror, then lost that one. Mike told me to buy a mirrior and he would pay for it, so I tried to do them an honest favor and shopped around to find the best deal. Instead of a $350 mirror, I found it for $178, which saved them some money. But its been 4 weeks and they are back to playing their " Hide and Seek" games, and I doubt if I will ever get my money back on that. I will not not recommend this shop to anyone. They might have gotten me now, but they sure lost my business for the future, and the rest of my rigs. I paid them good money, all in CASH, but the word PROFESSIONAL doesn't exist here.

Don't understand why people have given this place such lengthy bad reviews but I guess to each their own. I stopped in today to get my AC checked after it being out for about 3 months and the man working who seemed to be the manager was incredibly gracious and helpful !! He was concerned about my children having to be in the heat with no AC in my car and even spoke to my husband who does all the mechanics on my car and informed him of everything that was going on. I got a good impression, and we will definitely be back to this place !

I would like to give a positive review anywhere I do business, but I certainly cannot for this shop. New clutch, inspection of: tranny, transfer case, and both diffs. Replaced all fluids which i bought myself, thankfully! Tranny was fine, though I had them reseal it, and new bearings in rear diff, but at an extremely high cost. They kept on promising to get it done "that day" the entire time it was in the shop, but every time I called or stopped by, they were working on something else, or ordered the wrong part AGAIN. Although their transmission specialist is truly good at what he does, the rest of their "profession" is a joke. Now my truck is an extremely common 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 manual transmission. It started out a 2-3 day job, and ended up being 2 weeks! My rental car bill was over $800, and for their "service", I got a $5,600 bill and a broken side mirror. Truck still isn't right, high whine coming from the rear diff which they don't seem to really care about. Their computers don't work, and will only print out some of your warranty paperwork, which is only a measely 12,000 mi, which they try hard not to warranty. You can never get Mike(the manager) to call you, or talk to you about anything, or the secretary will make excuses for him. They won't let you talk to the owner, or give you his phone #.
