Very poor service from these people. Don't book a hotel if you're traveling from out of town - they can cancel on you last minute for maintenance, ruining a special occasion. They'll take a while to get back to you to give you a rescheduled date of their choice. When you tell them that date doesn't work and ask to get back to them, they'll say it's fine. However, when you do get back to them, they'll be unresponsive to your multiple emails and phone calls. Avoid this business if you can help it.

I wish I had read customer reviews before purchasing! I planned a surprised tour for my husband for his birthday in February. Scheduled the tour and paid in full in advance. A day before our scheduled tour I was told via EMAIL that due to the recent inclement weather, that the helicopter had not been able to receive it's scheduled maintenance and my tour date would have to be used for doing that. Then the day of our tour, a picture was posted of the helicopter flying on the date of our tour on Facebook. I commented on the picture that it seemed to be running just fine and the owner deleted my comment. I tried several times to get someone on the phone but was by Bonnie that she was "working remotely". I guess she didn't have access to a phone remotely... After their atrocious customer service I informed them I wanted a refund. I was told that refunds are only issued at the end of each month. I had to contact PayPal and took 2 months to get a refund. It's astonishing to me how a small business could have such horrible customer service. It's a shame too, as we would still love to take a helicopter tour but will certainly never use Queen City Helicopters.

Horrible business. Tried to go around Valentines day but they canceled two days prior because of rain. WHAT?! Rescheduled (after multiple attempts and unreturned e-mails and phone calls) for end of March and again we were told they were canceling again due to rain. Our flight was set for 7 and they canceled mid-afternoon when it was raining some but by 5 it had stopped. Rescheduled with difficulty again for May. We arrived and waited for our turn. Our flight time was under 12 mins and we didn't even get to circle the entire city - just went halfway and then they started to turn around. That much money. That much frustration and difficulty. That little of flight time. Not worth it at all. Not a single employee was apologetic. Nothing good to say about this "business".

After being rescheduled multiple times over a period of months, we finally arrived at the airport for our flight. There were many people waiting and another upset customer. We checked in and were told to have a seat. The owner came to address the upset customer and was extremely rude and condescending in front of everyone. We specifically scheduled for a sunset time. As we waited, we watched our scheduled time come and go as well as the sunset. We finally got on the helicopter. The ride was nice but was very dark towards the end. It did not last the full advertised 15 minutes but instead 10 minutes. The people scheduled after us were turned away. They need serious improvement on their scheduling and customer service.

Dealing with Queen City Helicopters has been one of the worst business experiences that I have ever had in my life. My girlfriend purchased a tour for me for Christmas and when the first date came around for us to fly we were contacted the day of and told that there had been a death in the family and asked if we could reschedule. We were more than courteous and mindful and gladly rescheduled. After the second rescheduling the customer service was INCREDIBLY rude and even went so far as to restrict our reservations to Saturdays only. After 3 more cancellations and reschedulings we FINALLY arrived at Wilson Air Center to take our flight. We were told 30 minutes before that we could not fly and that we must reschedule. We emailed the business requesting a refund since they were completely unable to provide the services that we had purchased in a 6 month span. The response we got was a "Thanks for flying with us hope you enjoyed your flight!" Email even though we were never able to take our flight. Ever since then they have ignored all of mine and my girlfriends attempts to contact them, both email and phone. I contacted Wilson Air Center and the representative I spoke with said they frequently get calls about Queen City Helicopters and that they never show up, frequently cancel flights, and are impossible to get in contact with. I hate to say it but I think most of the other reviews I've read are correct, this is a complete and utter scam and I will be filing formal complaints with the NCDOJ as soon as I submit this review.
