Recently visited my friend and we had the opportunity to take a hike here. It was a tough workout going up but the sites were well worth it. Really enjoyed myself and would love to come back. Just be careful which trail you pick and the strenuous one mean it.

Crowders Mountain is a great hiking area and seems to have trails that vary in difficulty and length, which gives options for most types of hikers. The view at the summit is beautiful and worth the time and effort.
Crowders Mountain State Park Visitors Center is well takin care of. They have a very informative exhibit room and clean restrooms. When we went there was a festival going on and parking was a bear. I’m told that it is always full.

We did the Pinnacle Trail from the visitor center to The Pinnacle (strenuous 2 mile). The view from The Pinnacle is breath taking and well worth the hike. From there we started back on Pinnacle Trail & then took a right on the Turnback Trail (moderate 1.2 miles) back to the visitor center.
