Was here for six nights as a IRMA Evacuee from Florida with wife and aged wheelchair-bound Mother-in law.
This hotel was wonderful! The rooms were clean and comfortable. But, what really stood out about this hotel were the staff! They were exceptional! Very kind and considerate!! I would definitely stay here again!!
Morning b'fast was good, would have preferred more non-pork meat options. 24/7 coffee in lobby, including decaf was a PLUS.
Room was clean and beds comfortable. Furniture a little dated.
My only complaint was the lack of any night light to find the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Of course, no hotels offer that, but in most, I can turn on the bathroom light & shut the door most of the way. This room had the exhaust fan wired to the light switch, so the noise made that unfeasible.
Hotel and staff very pleasant. Rooms very comfortable. Recommend if you are checking in at regular time. If you are checking in at early morning hours they only give you one extra hour (noon) to check out. We checked in at 5:00 AM and didn't feel this was enough time.
The location was great, with good access to highway, restaurants, shopping. Access to Downtown Charlotte sites was a quick 20-30 minutes by I-85.
Nicely appointed & clean room, staff was friendly & helpful. Breakfast was not the best of the "hot breakfast" offers I've had, but it was satisfactory & beat spending the time going out for breakfast.
Digital, Flat-Screen TV was good (never as good as home but so what)
Nice hotel. Awesome staff. Nice clean updated rooms. Real scrabbled eggs for breakfast, plus normal stuff like make your own waffles. Highly recommend.
Back to handicap issue: Doorway to bathroom was only 2 ft wide, no way to fit a wheelchair. "Handicap" restroom in hallway nearby had very wide door but NO BARS or RAILS! Totally inadequate.
IF not for lack of adequate handicap access, including hallway restroom, this facility would have been given a SOLID FIVE!
If you do not need handicap access then this facility is HIGHLY recommended. However, since we had to evacuate from home (and had a 14-hour drive that would normally be 7) we could not pick and choose.
Still, I would gladly stay here again if I find myself in need of a room in this area.
The staff was GREAT and couldn't have been nicer. VERY helpful in all positions.
