Veterinary clinics provide more professional, compassionate, and nurturing care than the staff at Caromont The Birth Place provided my daughter. Their lack of professionalism turned what is supposed to be a treasured life event into a stressful, traumatic, borderline life threatening experience. Nurses were unavailable when needed because four or five of them were in a back room out of sight of the front desk laughing and talking so loud it was impossible to get their attention. She was denied nausea and pain medication for hours. My Daughter’s labor pains were belittled and dismissed as not severe enough. I could continue but instead I will just say this; ONE STAR IS GENEROUS!! Read the other negative reviews and take them to heart. We are a decent, hard working, Christian family just wanting to bring our first and possibly only grandchild into the world in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment and instead we mistakenly chose “The birthplace”.

My daughter was the victim of a dog attack. Instead of waiting on an ambulance, I drove her to the hospital myself to save time. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The minimum information was, of course, needed and given. Name, address, s.s. number... then we were taken right back. All of the staff, techs, nurses, the doctor who stitched her up, etc. were all kind and proficient in managing her pain and getting her cleaned up and stitched up in a timely manner while making sure she was as comfortable as possible. I could not be more happy with how the situation was handled by everyone. A big big thank you to everyone that helped us!!!

Worst hospital visit of my life. They treated my wife more like livestock than a human being. I'm just glad she survived the ordeal. I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to visit this dump. EDIT: We decided to give the hospital a second chance and returned for outpatient surgery. The staff truly was phenomenal with my wife and comforting with the loss of our baby. It was truly a totally different experience from our ER visit the first time. So I will upgrade to 3 stars. Never thought I'd say that.

I was admitted in the psychiatric unit and was well taken care of. Special thanks to psychiatric nurses Kelly and Tiffani. They were both amazing to work with and truly cared for the patient. Also a special thanks to Dr Klasing for getting me on the right track and out quickly. Definitely would recommend this psych unit if in need. The process is long to get admitted but just wait it out to get whatever help you need. It will be worth it. Thanks again Kelly, Tiffani and Dr Klasing.

I am only giving one star here because I'm forced to in order to write a review. Several months ago, I was in the ER with one of my (minor) children. This has been one of the worst experiences in my whole life. In addition to dealing with being scared and concerned for my child, I was treated horribly! I was asked to wait in the waiting area (but given no reason why) during my child's treatment, leaving my child all alone. I tried several times over the course of the 10 hours I was in the waiting area to see my child. I was denied access to my child each time. I also repeatedly asked for updates on my child's condition and lab results, as well as to have a doctor come out to speak with me, my husband, or my mother. I was only told that my child was "fine" very rudely. No doctor ever came out to talk to me, even though I asked multiple times and the ER was not particularly busy that night (I was one of two people in the waiting area). At some point my child was moved to pediatrics, but I was not notified even though I had spent the night in the waiting room and repeatedly asked to be updated about said child's condition, so they were well aware I was there. Was finally called on my cell phone by a nurse in pediatrics 10 hours after we brought my child in to let me know they had admitted my child. She seemed surprised to find out I was sitting in the ER waiting area and had been there all night! it took me over 2 days of speaking to various doctors and nurses to get any information at all on tests performed in the ER amd the results of those tests. I received no paperwork informing me about any of those tests or the results, and signed no release forms for those tests to be performed. I also had multiple other issues during my child's stay in the hospital... too many to list here. Upon my child's release we were given a discharge sheet listing diagnoses that were never discussed with my husband or myself during my child's stay or prior to discharge. Following discharge, I contacted a patient advocate at the hospital to make a complaint. He took down my information and I was told he'd write a report and someone from the director's office would be in contact with me in 1-3 days. That was on 8/3/2017. It's now October and I haven't heard from anyone. The whole experience here from ER, to hospital stay, to discharge, to "patient advocate" has been a nightmare. This hospital obviously doesn't care about the patient or their family. If we have a choice, we will not return.
