Cupcakes and cookies are not especially amazing. Not much more than u can do at home. A little pricey for the quality, flavors, and varieties. Maybe the custom cakes are better. They are certainly pretty and detailed.
I ordered about six different desserts from Cake me Away for my wedding. I worked mostly with Heather and she was wonderful. They set up the dessert table exactly how I imagined. Their prices are reasonable and their desserts are the best! The only downside was that I didn't order enough oreo truffles. It is worth the drive to Gastonia and I will definitely be ordering from here again.
The cake that I ordered for my mother's 70th birthday party was exactly like the picture. Really more beautiful than the picture. The flavors was scrumptious. I would highly recommend them. They delivered the cake also which was nice.

Had to get a bachelorette cake in short notice (24 hrs) and they made it look identical to the picture I sent them. They even delivered it for me. Very Satisfied and Grateful Customer!!
I just wanted to take a minute and tell you how awesome the staff at Cake Me Away Bakery in Gastonia are! My daughter is feeding tube fed and only has 13 safe foods. Her safe foods do not leave much room for a mom with little cooking experience to make cupcakes that look normal. I Facebook messaged the bakery the week before the last week of school and explained the situation and asked if they could help. I just wanted my daughter to get to be like everyone else because they were going to be having cupcakes the last week and a half of school every single day. She is 6 and in Kindergarten. Up until now she has never cared but she begged me for cupcakes... my attempts were terrible. Cake Me Away not only stepped up to the plate... they knocked it out of the park. We went through all of her safe foods, they made a recipe that would work and then they messaged me to let me know how they would make them and make sure they were safe. Not only did they look great, they tasted amazing!!! They went above and beyond and even made cupcakes for her several times in that week and a half so they would be fresh. The staff was amazing!
